Welcome to Family Support Uganda

Family Support Uganda (FSU) is a faith based social care agency committed to improving the lives of people through provision of services that lead to harmonious families. Most people want to have a child however, they are not as enthusiastic about the parenting role yet the two go hand in hand. Children are being nurtured by House helps, television, radio, the internet and their peers among others. Parents are big role models in the lives of their children and children learn a lot from them. So what are the children learning from their parents today?
In Uganda today many parents are focusing on provision for their families so the children have food, accommodation and in some cases money to buy whatever they need but without the parents’ supervision! Provision without supervision can be dangerous, so it is important that the parents balance their act. FSU endeavors to help refocus the parents towards this great responsibility of PARENTING.
Since FSU’s business focuses on the family, there are many stakeholders including the parents, children, teachers, local leaders, religious and opinion leaders and the Police. Therefore our target group is diverse but the main focus will be on the children, parents/ guardians and teachers.
